LIFE OF PI – The Author, The Setting, The Narrative & The Characters
The Author:
  1. What do we know of the author?
  2. Is any of what we know relevant to our understanding of the story?

The Setting:
  1. Where does the author set the story?
  2. When (time period) does the author set his story?

The Narrative:
  1. In no more than 100 words, tell the story of Pi to show your understanding of the storyline.
OR
In no more than 20 steps, create a timeline of important events to show your understanding of the storyline.

  1. Explain a key event or moment in the story that is crucial to the story’s plot.

The Characters:
  1. List and profile the main characters in the novel. Remember to use quotes.
  2. Create a Character Map showing the relationship between the main characters.
